Summit2 Overview

Summit2 is the second of a series of gatherings sponsored by the Alliance for Transforming the Lives of Children (aTLC)--a network of people and organizations engaged in nurturing the optimal physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and spiritual development of children. We bring together a multi-disciplinary population of passionate people to share current scientific evidence, clinical experience, and cross-cultural wisdom and practices that enhance family bonding and attachment. Building on the Alliance's Blueprint for Transforming the Lives of Children, participants collaborate in creating a plan to actualize a broad-based social movement throughout North America.

The first 50 full paying registrants will receive a special premium of an hour and a half (at 3:30 pm the first day of the Summit) with either:
  • Joseph Chilton Pearce
  • Suzanne Arms

Details to follow.

Program Description

Summit2 is a highly interactive, experiential, and transformational event. We will gather together in large and small groups with the intention of generating action plans that further the social movement to "initiate and actualize bonding and attachment as priorities in North America." Leave titles and egos outside and come together with us as fellow human beings having such basic needs as food, play, rest, connection, laughter, and love.

Renowned keynote speakers present current information that will inspire and stimulate conversations among participants; panels of professionals seed lively discussions; and the World Café model facilitates small subgroups engaging in an "appreciative inquiry," the conclusions of which are then "harvested" and presented to the entire group.

This experience is designed to inspire, support and propel participants into specific actions consistent with their personal commitment to transforming the lives of children

You can also see description of the March 2003 Summit1, including the summary conclusions.
